Kendi Kendine Öğrenenler İçin Analitik Felsefe Okuma Listesi

Başlarken: Çevirmen Notu

Ülkemizde ne yazık ki hem amatör hem de akademik anlamda felsefe ile ilk temas etme hususunda (istisnalar hariç elbette) epey yanlış yönlendirmeler mevcut. Kimileri Hegel, Heidegger ve Nietzsche gibi felsefecilerin epey kapsamlı ve zor metinlerini, kimileri 1984 veya Hayvan Çiftliği gibi edebiyat kitaplarını kimileri ise yoğun bir felsefe tarihi kitaplarından oluşan izlekleri öneriyor. Konu felsefe ile ilk temasın nasıl bir yol izlemesi gerektiği ise bize öyle geliyor ki bu üç öneri de korkunç derecede hatalı. (Hatta konu ister Analitik Felsefe ister kıta Felsefesi geleneği olsun bu durumda, pek bir farklılık olduğunu düşünmüyorum.)

Diğer yandan özel bir not düşmek isteriz ki, Felsefenin Başlangıç İlkeleri adlı kitap, felsefeye değil bir dönemin Marksist tarih ve materyalist anlayışı için ‘belki’ okunabilir. Kitabı Politzer’in öğrencilerinin kaleme aldığını ve birçok Marksist tarafından epey eleştirildiğini eklemek gerek. Ne felsefeye ne de Marksizm’e giriş için bu kitabın önerilmesi pek makul görünmüyor.

Okuma izleklerinin epey mühim olduğunu düşünüyoruz. Bu izleği okumadan önce veya okuduktan sonra, hazırladığımız diğer izleklere de bakabilirsiniz. Yani şu, şu, şu, şu, şu, şu ve şu.

Meksikalı bir felsefe profesörünün hazırladığı bu izleğin epey ilgi çekici olduğunu düşünüyoruz. İlk fark edeceğiniz şey şu ki, ülkemizdeki birçok felsefecinin yaptığı gibi araştırmacı veya öğrenciyi, felsefe tarihi ile boğmayan bir izlek hazırlanmış. Hatta, daha önce hem birçok felsefecinin hem de bizim iddia ettiğimiz gibi bu izleğin başlangıç seviyelerinde nereyse hiç felsefe tarihi önerisi yok. Olması gereken de bu gibi görünüyor; felsefe tarihi bir uzmanlık alanıdır ve ciddi birikim gerektirir, temel bazı kitaplar dışında, felsefeye yeni başlayan birini felsefe tarihi ile boğmak epey istenilmedik sonuçlara sebep olur. Dikkat edilirse, her seviyede görece çok yer kaplamadan ve ancak Seviye 5B bittikten sonra daha kapsamlı olarak felsefe tarihi önerisi veriliyor.

Gördüğünüz gibi liste biraz kontrolden çıktı ama merak ve ilginiz karşılandığında istediğiniz zaman okumalarınızı durdurabilirsiniz. Umarım bu liste, söz konusu büyüleyici geleneği biraz daha yakından öğrenmek ile ilgilenen kişiler için yararlı olabilir.
